Jungle Rhythms featured in The Guardian

data rescue making waves...

Recently science journalist and PhD Dan Grossman provided a nice summary of my Jungle Rhythms data recovery efforts in The Guardian. He nicely outlines what the project aims for and how I made progress on this front. Currently the data still remain to be processed, a task I will tackle within the context of COBADIM.

I hope this increased media attention for data rescue will free up additional money for capacity building both in Belgium and DR Congo. Although data rescue in both Belgium and some in DR Congo is funded by my COBECORE project, a lot of archives remain unexplored and will potentially be lost if not digitized in time.
